Bruce Gilden is an American street photographer known for his raw and direct style. He often photographs people from very close distances, using flash to emphasize their faces, wrinkles, and physical details. His photographs are spontaneous, intense, and sometimes provocative. Gilden focuses on ordinary people and tries to capture their individuality and character without making them look perfect or beautiful. His work presents street life in a realistic, honest, and sometimes unsettling way.

In my photographic experiments, I wanted to break through my own barriers and step outside my comfort zone. I decided to try photographing people on the street using flash, inspired by Bruce Gilden’s style. It was not always easy or successful... Sometimes the photos did not turn out as I expected, and occasionally it even led to an argument with someone who did not want to be photographed.
